My first completed quilting project
For my first big quilting project I decided to make a table runner. I actually got the fabric to make two, one for my mom and one for me. I finished one and I loved how it came out. I gave it to mom for Christmas and I do not have any motivation at all to make another one. Guys... I hate doing anything more than once. Once I know I can do it I'm like let's move on!
I'm really thrilled with how it came out though, I must say.
I think what I've decided to do is get some more fabric in this beautiful Moda Aspen Frost collection and use it to do the mystery quilt along. The quilt will be done in December just in time to decorate the back of my couch for Christmas!
And let's not mind the mess in the background haha. I have a tornado two year old.
I'm not good at this!
I thought that blogging would be a natural thing for me, but I got so swept up with Christmas projects (which would have been the perfect thing to blog about) that I completely failed at posting anything. Sadly!
I got lots of projects done, and my big news is that I got a new sewing machine! Thank goodness. I was working with a Singer from the 80s which sewed a great straight line but that was about it. My new machine is a Brother and I am in love!
I need to take pictures of things and then I will try to get something posted. I made a lot of cool things and I would love to share!
And my new project that inspired me to get back to blogging... I'm going to be joining a mystery quilt along this year. Very exciting!
